A personal piece painted in Photoshop. We're supposed to include a description alongside our images ( this piece was previously rejected from the 2D gallery because the description was inadequate ) but I 'd prefer not to go into detail about the thinking behind this piece or what I'm trying to acheive. I'll say that it's an image which I hope will provoke an emotional response of some kind, but to be more specific would surely influence what that response might be and I'd much rather allow folks to draw their own conclusions based on the image alone. I think that's more interesting for everyone involved.

While kittens sleep, the Cat Snatcher creeps,
Sneaking about on his long toenailed feet.
He slides through the night time while cats gently snore,
Slips in at a window and crosses the floor…


From shadow to shadow the Cat Snatcher moves.
The feline continues enjoying a snooze.
But while the cat dreams behind tightly closed eyes,
The Snatcher prepares a most frightful surprise…


He moves within range, he readies his pounce,
Raises his arms just the proper amount.
He fixes his eye on the slumberer’s middle,
Then leaps through the air and gives kitty a tickle!

This is intended as a loose self-portrait. What's perhaps more worrying than some of the Freudian interpretations of the design, is that a few people have actually recognised me from this pic! Seeing as I don't wander around in a rusty mask, I can only assume it's the handbag that gives it away.
Painted entirely with Photoshop. Maybe eight hours work spread over a week or so.

Well this feels a bit like spam after the amount of exposure this image has received lately, but I promised myself I'd post here once the Master and Servant judging was complete to see what reactions it might attract 'outside' of the challenge. As usual, any comments are gratefully received.
It's also another opportunity to say how much I enjoyed the challenge, particularly the fantastic sense of community that everyone helped to create. Brilliant. Here's to the next one..!
